Eneko Muruzabal Elezcano

Bilbao, 1977. In 2023, his screenplay Planetagatik won the Oihua! contest, promoted by the San Sebastián Horror and Fantasy Film Week. Premiering in 2024, the short film opened the Film Week and has since built a remarkable international career, with over 40 selections at festivals worldwide. It has been chosen for Goya Awards qualifying festivals (Málaga Festival, FICX Gijón, ZINEBI Bilbao, Aguilar de Campoo) and festivals within the Méliès network (Fantaspoa Brazil, Abertoir Horror Festival, San Sebastián Film Week, FANT Bilbao). Notable awards include Best Short Film at Euskal Zine Bilera (Lekeitio, Spain), Best International Short Film at Festiver (Barichara, Colombia), and the Roddenberry Audience Choice Award at the Sci-On Film Festival (Nevada, USA).

In 2022, he made his debut with Polita, a short film developed from a script written during a course taught by Michel Gaztambide at Larrotxene Bideo (Donostia). Selected for more than 20 national and international festivals, Polita won the Best Short Film award at the Distopia Festival (Murcia) and received a special mention at the Mexico City International Animal Film Festival.

He currently resides in Donostia, where he combines his roles as director and screenwriter with his work as an environmental consultant at the company Bilibin. He advises companies across various sectors on reducing their environmental impact and offers workshops on applied sustainability in filmmaking, both during production and the development phase.
