In 2011 she returned to Barcelona and co-founded the film and advertising production company CELOFÁN, where she combines her work as an advertising director with screenwriting and film direction. In 2018 she wrote and directed the surreal humor short film WE NEED IT YESTERDAY, which premiered at the Malaga Film Festival and won awards at several national and international festivals.

Celia Galán is currently developing the script for the science fiction feature film TRUE LOVE, selected for the Acció Viver 2019 residency by Dones Visuals. In 2024, she wrote, directed and produced the sci-fi short film GYNOID, which is currently in the film festival circuit.
